ProtoCloud is an automation platform that optimises infrastructure and deploys applications on-premise and in the cloud. On-premise infrastructure is wastefully overprovisioned and is not easy to deploy or manage. Enterprises cannot reduce infrastructure costs or accelerate application deliveries merely by migrating infrastructure to the cloud. ProtoCloud autoscales on-premise infrastructure both vertically, i.e., increases the resources available to an application workload, and horizontally, i.e., scales the number of load balanced instances available to that application workload. The platform autoscales across bare metal, virtual machine and container deployments. Enterprises can optimise their hardware investment, software licenses and power consumption by compressing their infrastructure footprint by up to 30% by using ProtoCloud. Furthermore, application workloads can burst into the cloud for unanticipated demand and platform services. This means that enterprises can integrate Public Cloud services into their IT architectures immediately, without expensive multi-year “lift and shift” application transformation programmes. ProtoCloud deploys complete application suites along with pre-integrated stacks of infrastructure components. This tightly couples the management of infrastructure with the applications consuming it, and so removes the need for complex manual coordination and separate automation solutions. This helps Enterprises to reduce software deployment cycles that normally take 2 weeks to 3 months down to a few minutes, and so helps accelerate product launches and software release cycles. ProtoCloud is multi-tenant capable and drastically reduces application administration and systems administration effort with its zero-touch automation. It integrates with all major on-premise providers including VMware, OpenStack, oVirt and bare metal and cloud providers including AWS, Microsoft Azure and Google Cloud.
