Welcome to the official LinkedIn page of the International Board of Disaster Medicine (IBODM). We are dedicated to shaping a world where responders are well-prepared to tackle the unexpected challenges that disasters bring. Disasters are inherently unpredictable, often occurring when and where least expected. At IBODM, we recognize the crucial role that proper training and certification play in ensuring responders can uphold the highest standards of care in any situation. Our Mission: IBODM strives to improve readiness by providing international certification in Disaster Medicine for physicians, nurses, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, and prehospital (EMS) providers. In doing so, we are taking the first steps towards the standardization of preparedness and response of healthcare personnel globally. Our certification program is designed to establish a shared language and standardized protocols for emergency response, fostering a community of professionals ready to act swiftly and efficiently in times of crisis. Certification Matters: Your IBODM certification is a testament to your deep, practical understanding of an expert-endorsed approach to disaster medicine. It proves to the world—and to yourself—that you have the knowledge and skills necessary to respond effectively to complex disasters. Join us in our mission to empower responders globally, creating a world where readiness meets resilience. Together, we can make a lasting impact on disaster medicine and emergency response.
