Established in 2021, Healthcare in Action (HIA) is a “street-based” medical group that utilizes housing navigation and care management to support individuals experiencing homelessness by providing them wrap-around services such as healthcare, behavioral health, and substance use counseling. One of the unique features of HIA are their mobile health clinics, which travel to various community locations, providing healthcare services to homeless individuals. Each mobile clinic is staffed by healthcare professionals, including medical providers, nurses, community health workers, and social workers, who provide care to individuals in need. The overarching goals of HIA include improving the health of unhoused populations as well as helping them obtain sustainable housing. We currently have teams in six counties: Los Angeles, San Diego, Orange, San Bernardino, Riverside and San Mateo. HIA is a fully owned subsidiary of SCAN Group.

The Josephine Collective is a women-led group of angel investors co-investing small amounts (as little as $1,000 per deal) in early-stage startups across the United States.
