Unlock the Power of Communication with Lingvist. Lingvist is driven by a passion to develop the most efficient language learning tool for modern learners. Our goal is to empower individuals and companies by harnessing the potential of effective communication. Our roots trace back to CERN, where our co-founder leveraged machine learning algorithms to create the Lingvist prototype. The project gained momentum when the leader of Skypes core technology team joined as a co-founder and CTO, taking the product to new heights. As a TechStars London alumnus, we have attracted investment from prominent names such as Skype founder Jaan Tallinn, TechStars, Smartcap, and Inventure. Additionally, we have secured €1.6 million in EU funding under the Horizon 2020 scheme and raised $12 million in Series A funding led by Rakuten, Rubio Impact Ventures, and Rockaway Capital. Lingvist is an ideal solution for individuals looking to learn languages efficiently, companies aiming to boost their employees language proficiency, and investors seeking opportunities in the fast-growing EdTech market. Join us on our mission to improve language learning and foster global connections.

Olio is a sharing app for local communities, on a mission to fight waste. ***For people*** Olio makes it easy to pass on the things you no longer need — from food to furniture, and clothes to books — to people who live nearby. You take a photo of your item, add it to the app, and wait for someone to request and collect it. ***For businesses*** Olio also works with businesses to redistribute their unsold or unserved food. We pair trained volunteers with local shops, cafes and offices, who pick up whatever food is left at the end of each day. They then add it to the app for people nearby to request and collect. That way, every last bit of edible food ends up benefitting local people, rather than it ending up in the bin.

We’re Zopa, and we want to make money work better for you. Our diverse team is united in their mission of creating simple, fair and honest financial products that have the customer’s needs at their heart. We’re proud that this dedication is reflected in our excellent rating on TrustPilot. We’ve always been unapologetically honest with our customers, and value the same in return. Their feedback helps us shape what we build, so we can provide a bank fit for today, and for the future. We’re not the new kids on the block though - we’ve been a pioneering force in finance for 16 years. In 2005, we built the first ever peer-to-peer (P2P) lending company, giving our customers access to loans built for real-life and intelligent investments backed by cutting-edge tech. In 2020, we launched Zopa Bank, meaning we could offer more – like fixed term savings backed by FSCS protection and a credit card to help customers take control of their finances. We’ve lent out over £6 billion and are proud to have made money work better for over half a million people across the UK, whether they were looking to borrow or save.

Over 800 million people worldwide do not have access to electricity, denying them many of the benefits of the modern world. We believe hope and innovation start with access to clean power. Our mission is to empower vulnerable communities on the frontlines of climate change, loss of wildlife and environmental devastation. We achieve this by donating clean energy technologies and facilitating the recruitment of local people and organizations to install, operate and maintain the systems which make their communities more independent, resilient and sustainable. Our approach improves lives and the environment, encourages local development, and serves as a catalyst for the adoption or expansion of renewable energy in the regions we serve. Empowered by Light’s first project, Solar: ZAMBIA, began as an effort to deliver thousands of solar-powered LED light/cell phone charge kits to very remote areas with no access to electricity. In 2011 and 2012, EBL delivered light kits to 52 basic schools throughout the Shangombo District in the Western Province of Zambia. With the kits, school-age children have been able to study at night, after the sun has set, improving their grade performance and their chances for a better life. In 2013, we built our first solar micro grid at Sioma High School in Zambia, a school comprised of 27 buildings that serves over 600 students. Since then, we have completed nearly 50 solar and energy storage projects in eight countries.
