ANNUAL COPENHAGEN STREET AND MUSIC FESTIVAL SINCE 1998 Distortion is the biggest cultural event in Copenhagen with 100.000+ participants and hundreds of activities throughout the city. A five day festival in Copenhagen, that celebrates street life and new dance music. We develop, plan and produce a citywide festival experience for hundreds of thousands of people - both local Copenhageners and tourists. An event that celebrates community, formal and informal city spaces and the free Copenhagen spirit. We do this by transforming the city into a collective venue filled with music, performances, workshops, food, bars, art and installations. In 2023 Distortion celebrates its 25th jubilee and has during that time been a vital part of the city’s transformation into one of Europe's cultural capitals. Danish Architecture Center is Denmark’s meeting place for architecture, design and urban culture. As the national center for architecture, we work in a global perspective to promote the development of Danish architecture, construction and urban development in an economically, socially and environmentally sustainable direction. We invite everyone inside to participate in the discussions on how to create better architecture and cities for everyone – through exhibitions, events and much more. DAC is a project organization founded in 1986 and funded through a public-private partnership between Realdania and the state. The state is represented by the Ministry of Enterprise, Ministry of Culture and the Ministry of Transport, Building and Housing

Danish Cultural Institute is a self-governing institution. Since 1940 we have been engaged in fostering mutual understanding between people and cultures. In our activities we always try to create opportunities for intercultural relations, understanding, sustainable growth and development. Our Institutes abroad are the focal points for the creation of long term cultural relations, that contribute to inspire Danish arts and culture, and strengthen the mutual learning proces, that can challenge and inspire cultural life at home as well as abroad. At the moment we have branches in China, Brazil , India, Latvia, Russia, Ukraine, and Turkey. We have activities in Estonia, Lithuania, Belarus and South Korea. HQ is in Copenhagen, Denmark.

The museum communicates the story of Denmark as one of the world’s leading shipping nations, offering visitors unique and innovative exhibitions and world class architecture. Since the museum reopened in the new building in 2003, it has received a number of international awards for both its collections and architecture. The architects behind the structure, BIG (Bjarke Ingels Group), have been acknowledged worldwide for the iconic, underground building, placed around a former dry dock which creates a natural connection between the maritime history outside in the dock and inside in the collections. At the M/S Maritime Museum an experience awaits appealing to all the senses, with sloping floors, interactive and evocative exhibitions – and a fascinating look into how shipping has tied the world together for hundreds of years. As well as exhibitions, the museum also has a Knowledge Center with archives, images and an extensive specialised maritime library, and conference halls, a café and a shop.
