Austin’s startup and venture capital scene is now a new frontier experiencing unprecedented growth. Were a community of accredited startup investors in the greater venture community of: venture capitalists, accelerators, university incubators, corporates, angels, family offices, and more. We focus on three main areas to amplify and organize Austins greater venture community, provide education and professional development, and deliver more and better startup support.

The Startup America Partnership is: A movement by entrepreneurs, for entrepreneurs - launched January 31, 2011, at the White House to help inspire and celebrate entrepreneurs, their firms and the people that join them. An independent, private-sector entity – leveraging the work of our close partners in the U.S. government, but with the fierce freedom, independence and agility that define American startups themselves. Focused on bringing the private sector together to maximize the success of America’s entrepreneurs – and maximize America’s competitiveness in an increasingly global world. A tool to showcase a wide range of entrepreneurs, elevating them as innovators and job creators, while celebrating entrepreneurship as a core American value. We aspire to make starting or joining an American startup the most desirable job in the world. Our “customers” are the entrepreneurs themselves. We will take steps to encourage the creation of new startups, however, our principal focus will be on supporting the entrepreneurs who are leading existing firms with high-growth potential (what we call “speedups”). We will do this by assembling commitments from a wide range of companies and organizations to provide assistance to entrepreneurs in the following areas: Expertise, Services, Talent, Customers and Capital.

Welcome to the Maryland Tech Council. We are a collaborative community that is actively engaged in building strong technology and life science industries by supporting the efforts of our individual members. We are the largest technology trade association in the state of Maryland with over 700 members, and we provide value by giving them a forum to learn, share, and connect. The valuable resources we provide to our members help them reach their full potential as vital members of their communities. Members of the Maryland Tech Council are provided with educational programming taught by industry leaders with a focus on key topics, advocacy at the state and national levels, and a variety of opportunities to participate in both large and small events. Members also have access to our Cost Savings Program where they can choose from our list of reputable companies that provide discounts for business services. We offer an array of benefits that have been chosen to help your business grow. MTC is also able to serve the tech and biotech communities with assets like the Maryland Health Care Product Development Corporation (MHCPDC) and the MdBioLab program. MHCPDC’s goal is to stimulate growth of the biomedical industry in the state through "early stage"​ investment with promising Maryland biomedical and medical technology companies. The MdBioLab program supports a mobile bioscience laboratory that visits Maryland high schools to teach science literacy.

The Potomac Officers Club (POC) is a membership organization dedicated to connecting and empowering executives within the Government Contracting community. POC provides the opportunity to learn from peer business executives, hear from government thought leaders, and create an outstanding forum to develop key business and partnerships. The Potomac Officers Club is dedicated to weaving an executive level fabric for the benefit of the government contracting community. We strive to be the perfect forum to engage in meaningful dialogue on current issues and find great value in building our members credibility and visibility.

The Frederick Innovative Technology Center, Inc. (FITCI) is a non-profit organization created for local entrepreneurs seeking offices, laboratory facilities, and entrepreneurial support services. FITCI’s main goal is to foster entrepreneurship in Frederick County and accelerate the development of commercial viable businesses, while generating continued job growth. Founded in 2004 in a public-private partnership, FITCI is supported by the Frederick County, City of Frederick, State of Maryland (Department of Business & Economic Development-DBED), Maryland Technology Development Corporation (TEDCO), and the local business community. Located at 4539 Metropolitan Court in Frederick, FITCI is home to a number of emerging biotechnology and information technology companies. Today, FITCI stands as a major success story of how private/public business partnerships can successfully work to meet the public sector goals while operating efficiently and cost effectively in the private sector.
