T-Therapeutics is a venture-backed company on a mission to unlock the power of T cells to treat chronic and infectious diseases. Based on technology from Professor Allan Bradley’s laboratory in Cambridge University’s Department of Medicine, T-Therapeutics has secured significant investment from a blue-chip syndicate of investors to support its drug discovery efforts and prepare candidates for clinical development. T-Therapeutics was founded in 2022, and we are at the very beginning of our journey to develop transformative T cell derived medicines. To realise our ambition, we are currently building facilities, recruiting staff, and establishing our research operations.

Our mission is to develop groundbreaking therapies to reverse mitochondrial dysfunction by leveraging a deep mechanistic understanding of mitochondrial biology. Mitochondria are essential energy-converting cellular organelles found in nearly every cell type throughout the body. Dysfunctional mitochondria are involved in more than 50 diseases. The most severe of these are broadly termed mitochondrial diseases, a group of rare genetic conditions which affect individuals of all ages. Mitochondrial dysfunction also plays an important role in more common diseases, including aging-related disorders. At Pretzel, we are developing first-in-class therapeutics that can address mitochondrial dysfunction at its roots. By taking aim at the genetic drivers of mitochondrial dysfunction, we believe our approach could be effective across a wide range of diseases which lack meaningful treatment options today.

STORM Therapeutics is a biotechnology company creating novel therapies that inhibit RNA modifying enzymes (RME) for use in oncology and other diseases. There are more than 150 RNA modifications reported and approximately 300 RNA modifying enzymes which represent novel therapeutic targets. STORM has leveraged its first mover advantage to establish a novel drug discovery and RNA analytics platform leading to the identification of novel targets and a proprietary pipeline of first in class small-molecule drug candidates for potential use in oncology, inflammation, viral infections, and CNS diseases. The pipeline is exemplified by STORM’s METTL3 inhibitor (STC-15) for which an IND has been filed with the FDA to support initiation of a Phase I clinical trial in cancer patients in 2022. STC-15 represents the first RNA modifying enzyme inhibitor to enter clinical evaluation in humans. Additional candidates are planned for advancement into IND-track activities in 2023. STORM has built an experienced R&D team who occupy modern, well-equipped laboratories on the Babraham Research Campus near Cambridge, UK.
