Lukoton makes cities more intelligent by offering a smart city access platform that gives service providers access to any building with their phones. No more carrying large keyrings or multiple access tags, no more remembering PIN-codes or collecting keys. Just a phone and a free app or an SDK that can be integrated in service provider's own application. Using phone as a key brings improved efficiency, possibility to make access changes real time, to give and revoke keys any time plus a real time on-line access log. Building managers can manage access to all their buildings without handing out any keys and always know who has opened which door and when. Keys cannot be handed over to others and cannot be copied. Access is checked every time lock is opened. End result: better key security, improved efficiency and overall sense of control.

The Blockchain Forum was established in March 2017 by three of the most prominent players in the Finnish technology ecosystem: Tomi Dahlberg, Markus Lehtonen, and Teemu Rissanen. In this initial phase, the emphasis was given to providing the information needed for companies and institutions to start to explore blockchain. At the end of 2019, the Forum began a new phase, becoming more community-based, open, and international. The official working language changed from Finnish to English. This change made the local ecosystem more diverse and inclusive, with the Forum’s content and events reaching a wider audience. Starting from 2021, in addition to its original tasks, the Blockchain Forum will tackle yet another key project. In partnership with the City of Helsinki, it will be responsible for the creation of the Helsinki Blockchain Center, which will serve as a hub for the development of Distributed Ledger Technologies in Finland.
