Reduciner is a Finnish climate technology company developing innovative solutions for capturing and utilizing carbon dioxide emissions to advance the circular economy. The company transforms CO₂ emissions into valuable raw materials, such as carbon monoxide (CO), which can be used directly as a renewable electrofuel and as a key building block in the production of synthetic fuels and chemicals for various industrial processes. In its process, the reagent used in CO₂ reduction is further refined and converted into high-quality activated carbon, creating an additional valuable output from the same carbon utilization pathway. This approach enables industries to convert carbon emissions into multiple useful resources, supporting the transition toward a low-carbon and more sustainable future

Internet of things (IoT) comprise electronic devices, such as batteries, displays, solar cells and sensors, and is revolutionizing our society by providing radically new means to aid us in our modern lifestyle. At their core, IoT technology is typically built up from the merger of silicon chips, providing computation, and a vast array of different dedicated flexible polymer devices, providing sensing and powering. Together such systems enable new functionalities and easy integration with for instance textiles, paper and large area carriers. However, low power operation and advanced functionality require devices that depend on a balanced transport of positive (holes) and negative (electrons) charges. For the silicon chip technology, such complementary electronics is the heart of today’s digital processors. While polymeric hole (p-type) conductors are being developed to industrial scales, equivalent electron (n-type) polymer conductors are missing. This limits the full potential of many IoT applications as optimal performances can only be achieved via complementarity. n-Ink addresses this challenge, by formulating and supplying n-type inks with unprecedented performance. Our patented n-Inks are highly conductive, easy to handle, stable and printable. For the first time, n-Ink is offering electron conductors that are on par with commercial p-type inks to bring a new paradigm of printed electronics to the market.

We are upcycling food industry by-products into planet-friendly protein, and pioneering a new approach to food systems—one that supports healthy, delicious diets for everyone while minimizing environmental impact. Enifer, a spin-off company from VTT Technical Research Centre of Finland, was founded by five scientists in 2020 to develop and commercialize the proprietary PEKILO® technology further. A process originally developed and used by the Finnish forest industry at a commercial scale, the PEKILO® technology enables the biotechnological conversion of dilute side streams into a high-protein and fiber ingredient, PEKILO® mycoprotein.

A Nordic innovation transformed traditional, bulky Near-Infrared (NIR) spectroscopy equipment into a convenient format to help agribusinesses with instant grain quality tracking. Handheld GrainSense Analyzer uses (NIR) spectroscopy technology found in laboratory instruments – in a battery-powered, handheld device. You get reliable protein, moisture, oil and carbohydrate contents in seconds from just a few kernels. The GrainSense Flow Analyzer has been developed for analyzing real-time grain quality in an environment where grains are actively flowing. Whether installed in an elevator of a combine harvester or in a silo/dryer, the GrainSense Flow Analyzer measures protein and moisture online during harvesting, processing or storage.

CosmEthics educates consumers about cosmetic ingredient safety, and suggests healthy alternative products by referencing medical research data. Consumers have very few methods to determine if a product is safe. The CosmEthics app allows users to scan the product’s bar code, and cross-references it with undesirable ingredients or allergens. Thus users can quickly assess the product’s health hazards, with a toxicity screening of INCI ingredients.
