Elements of Freedom was founded in Amsterdam in 2014, with the dream and aim to make stylish clothing that is casual and easy to wear for any occasion. With freedom as a starting point, freedom for the people who wear it and freedom for the people who make it. A product that is unique, sustainably made in harmony with people and nature From day one, Elements of Freedom has sailed its own course and built a solid relational network of renowned fabric and haberdashery suppliers who consider sustainability in their products and operations to be of paramount importance. Suppliers who deliver the quality and style with which Elements of Freedom strengthens its authentic designs into a commercially sustainable design product. This makes Elements of Freedom a change maker in slow fashion and shows that fashion and sustainability are perfectly suited for one another.

BYBORRE is an Amsterdam based textile innovation studio working on the frontiers of material development, functionality and aesthetics through engineered knits. Our signature is the innovative hand-rendered techniques that, through direct interaction with their circular knitting machines, gives us full creative freedom to play with patterns, colours, and textures within textiles. Designing from the yarn up allows us to discover new possibilities both within our own collections and for leading brands. Over the past six years we have worked with clients such as Rapha, adidas, BMW, and Natuzzi. Through consultation and collaboration with other brands, we push knit innovation to find creative ways to achieve the project’s goal. Our Amsterdam based HQ studio houses a knitting and innovation Lab, a fully outfitted atelier, a team of specialists and experts, a BYBORRE archive, and endless amounts of crazy textiles.
