Via Verde was born in 1991 as an innovative technological solution that allowed drivers to pay toll charges without stopping their vehicles.
Since then, with the dedication of our team and the company stakeholders, we have been enriching our range of services with several new applications for the Via Verde identifier: payments in Galp fuel stations, parking lots and McDrive establishments, as well as access control for historical sites.
We have recently integrated Brisa's strategy and repositioned ourselves in the market, with more focus on people and mobility. Via Verde now travels alongside you with Viagens & Vantagens (Journeys and Advantages), a loyalty program that offers exclusive discounts and benefits for our clients.
Via Verde Portugal is majority-owned by Brisa and has other shareholders including SIBS and Ascendi.

Although the central core of its activity is the production of cement, Secil is part of a group of about 40 companies that operate in complementary areas such as the production of concrete, hydraulic lime, mortars, coverings and also quarrying.
Secil ensures its production for the Portuguese market through its Secil-Outão, Maceira-Liz and Cibra-Pataias plants.
At the international level, Secil is present in Tunisia, where it has a cement plant, Société des Ciments de Gabès, which is mostly owned by it.
It is also present in Angola, with a 51% stake in TecnoSecil, a company that operates the cement plant in Lobito, Angola.
Secil also holds an important financial stake in the company Ciment de Sibline, s.a.l., located south of Beirut in Lebanon.
Secil started its activity in Brazil in 2011, with the acquisition of a stake in Supremo Cimentos, a company founded in 2003, in Pomerode, Santa Catarina. In 2015, it took over the entire capital of Supremo Cimento and opened a new cement plant in Adrianópolis, Paraná, Brazil.
Secil invested in a maritime terminal located in the Port of Terneuzen, in the south of the Netherlands, close to the Belgian border.
In 2017, it acquired a set of assets from LafargeHolcim in Spain, which includes a cement terminal in Vigo, two quarries and thirteen ready-mixed plants in the Spanish regions of Asturias and Galicia.
Semapa has held the entire share capital of Secil since May 2012.
Semapa is a holding company listed on Euro Next Lisbon, with the Queiroz Pereira family as the majority shareholder, with strong traditions in Portuguese industrial and financial activities.
