SirenOpt is accelerating sustainable and smart manufacturing of advanced materials by delivering a manufacturing intelligence platform that uses intelligent characterization and real-time decision-making to drive the creation of innovative, high-performance products that fuel the advancement of society.
SirenOpt is pioneering a paradigm shift in materials manufacturing intelligence by leveraging cold atmospheric plasma, machine learning and predictive analytics to non-destructively create a uniquely distinctive, multifaceted material fingerprint in real-time. SirenOpt transforms measurement blind spots into rich multi-layered material insights, which enable intelligent performance-centric decision-making. SirenOpt thus accelerates R&D and process optimization, enhances product performance, and delivers higher production quality to maximize value in both in-line and off-line applications. SirenOpt’s manufacturing intelligence platform has demonstrated use cases across battery, aerospace, semiconductor, electronic and many other advanced manufacturing segments in both inline production and offline tool deployments.
SirenOpt was founded in 2022 as a spin-out from the UC Berkeley Chemical Engineering Department. SirenOpt is supported by the UC Berkeley Skydeck, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory Cyclotron Road and Activate science-driven startup accelerator programs.

Intropic Materials is unlocking a new bio-active products market with its enzyme stabilizing technology. By embedding degrading enzymes directly inside plastics, Intropic is imparting a favorable end-of-life at the beginning. Once activated, the enzymes trigger the plastic to rapidly and completely self-degrade into biodegradable or chemically recyclable small molecules
Enzymes are central to life, and harnessing their incredible performance and diversity of functions promises to revolutionize sustainable materials, chemical manufacturing, food technology, pharmaceuticals, consumer products, sensors, and beyond. However, for all their utility and our increasing ability to engineer and optimize them, enzyme stability outside of cells remains a key challenge to developing applications that are technically and economically viable outside of the lab. By providing a general, orthogonal, and scalable approach to stabilization, Intropic Materials is working to unlock the potential for a sustainable circular bio-based economy, starting with truly compostable plastics.

For too long, metal recycling has been both financially and environmentally costly—up to 20% of all metal is lost during manufacturing. Because recycling that scrap is so expensive, much of it ends up in landfills.
At SUN METALON, we’re changing that. Our zero-CO₂ technology transforms contaminated, low-value swarf into high-value metal—directly on-site. We’re not making new metal—we’re making metal new.

Akash Systems, Inc. is a venture-backed, late-stage, Bay Area company that makes and sells Diamond Cooled GPU-based servers to AI companies, Cloud Service Providers, and data centers worldwide.
The deep tech company pioneered Diamond Cooling® technology wherein the world’s most thermally conductive material, lab-grown diamond, is brought into intimate contact with GPUs – the densest heat source chip in a modern high compute server. The resulting Akash server is one that exhibits more compute in FLOPS (>50%) and FLOPS per Watt (by 2x) than any other server in the market today. Akash’s Diamond Cooled servers also reduce the energy cost of cooling the entire data center since the servers can operate in an ambient temperature of up to 120oF.
The company’s lead investors include Khosla Ventures and Founders Fund. Akash Systems recently deployed its Diamond Cooling® technology in space, where many Akash satellite radios are now in operation.
