The DAC technology is highly energy-efficient and compatible with variable intermittent renewable energy sources such as solar and wind energy, allowing for energy price arbitrage and a flexible, on-demand CO2 removal. Climate change is a global problem and needs to be tackled at scale. Therefore, we set the goal to capture 0.5 GT of CO2 from the air by 2035 - roughly the same weight as all humans on earth combined! Nuventura develops environmentally-friendly medium voltage (MV) gas insulated switchgear (GIS) – key hardware components found throughout electrical grids and energy infrastructure. Our patented technology replaces Sulphur hexafluoride (SF6) – the world’s strongest greenhouse gas – with dry air, whilst maintaining GIS traditional strengths i.e. compact physical dimensions.
