WHAT IS IT? In the fall of 2017 a small group of committed and innovative teachers, parents and creators are bringing to life a new paradigm school on lower Vancouver Island. A nature-based, love-based, inquiry-based school called Xploration Centre. This initiative is emerging out of the conditions of this evolutionary moment. Nothing like it exists today. WHY & HOW? The traditional education system isn't broken - it just wasn't designed for the world as it is, and as it is becoming. The traditional schooling system is leaving our children ill equipped for the future by using an antiquated system that does not serve their mental, emotional, physical and spiritual well being. The Xploration Centre is part of a growing global movement to shift the education paradigm. The next 10 years will be like no other decade in the history of humankind. Technology is growing at an exponential rate and it is our belief that it is vital to help young minds connect back to nature , so that they can develop a healthy relationship to technology. A relationship which results in learning to use technology to help the planet instead of letting technology use them. Children at the Xploration Centre will be spending at least half of each day participating in "sky time" which means they will be outdoors under the sky immersed in activities that will foster a deep sacred bond with nature.
