Share Farm is a method of a local food sharing economy whose resources are in a distributed network that operates a region's food-shed. We pair institutional buyers with in-state minority farms and an existing food service partner. Share.Farm is a digital farm economy, leveraging technology to simplify the distribution chain from Farm to Institution, hospitality and food service, providing members with unprecedented supply and demand insights. The first slow food sharing economy for social entrepreneurship. We combine old traditions with new technology to create a greater sense of responsibility towards nature and to rebuild foundations for a sustainable future. Share.Farm is at its core a reawakening of culture and ancient food knowledge, restoration of community traditions and a leading advocate in the reclamation for biodiversity of communities’ heirloom and heritage products. Share Farm disruptive technology further develops on the current transition of a peer to peer sharing economy. An economy that is moving towards zero marginal costs, by the implementation of user curated and shared entrepreneurial networks. Share Farm increases aggregate efficiency, improves conversion, scales local productivity and reduces our ecological footprint.
