Magsort is a decarbonization company. Our revolutionary solution makes it possible to extract all the metals left behind in steel slag while refining the remaining material into valuable components for low-CO2 cement. What was once a waste product of one industry, is now an effective solution for decarbonizing two of the industries that generate the most CO2 emissions. Steel industry Magsort is able to capture the metals previously left behind in steel slag. Our breakthrough solution simultaneously increases the value of the metal-free mineral portion by refining it into important components for the cement industry, achieving a 100 % recycling rate. Cement industry Magsort has developed a dual component solution for using steel slag to lower the CO2 footprint of cement production. A CO2 reduction of up to 50 % means significant savings on carbon credits and an ability to tap into unmet demand for low-CO2 cement. Waste-to-energy Our solution allows waste-to-energy plants to recover the previously unavailable metals left in their incinerator bottom ash (IBA). The ability to dry process finer fractions unlocks more of the precious metals, resulting in three times as much value, without having to deal with wastewater from wet milling.

TANA From Waste to Value® Tana Oy is an environmental technology company, which specializes in machines and equipment for mechanical processing of solid waste. The company manufactures landfill compactors and recycling machinery. Tana is a pioneer of using electrical control systems and artificial intelligence solutions in its equipment.
