Alliance for Biosolutions gathers large businesses, SMEs, startups, universities and organisations that champion a necessary paradigm shift from fossil to green regulation. We are the FIRST ecosystem partnership for biosolutions created in 2020 by the Danish Chamber of Commerce, companies and research institutions at the frontier of the global green transition. We need to transition to a greener and more sustainable future. A future in which we must produce more, for more people on less land and with the lowest possible impact on our climate and enviroment. It is a massive undertaking that demands a break from conventional wisdom to pave the way for new solutions. This is why we have set up the Alliance for Biosolutions. Biosolutions constitute of biological products that are anchored in biotech, i.e. utilisation of living organisms, including enzymes, microorganisms, bacteria cultures, pheromones etc. for concrete applications and products that are used in other sectors’ manufacturing processes and as end products to enable sustainable transformations such as emission reductions. Products include alternative proteins, bio-based ingredients, bio pesticides, bio plastics, enzymes, probiotics, food cultures, and fermentation solutions for feed and food.

“Visit our Website to learn more: https://www.algiecel.com/ BIOSOLUTIONS FOR DECARBONIZATION ALGIECEL has been founded to take part in the challenge of transforming today´s CO2 emissions into feasible business opportunities. The company´s mission is to produce tomorrow´s sustainable ingredients containing protein and omega-3 rich ingredients, utilizing captured CO2, microalgae, and a win-win business model. ALGIECEL makes it easy for industrial companies to transform their CO2 emissions into microalgae biomass using a high-yield photobioreactor fitted into standard shipping containers. THE CLIENTS The microalgae biomass is CO2 neutral, vegan, and natural. It can be split into a protein and an oil fraction. The protein fraction will be applied as aquaculture feed and petfood, is very high in protein, and contains omega-3, food-grade vitamins, and carotenoids. The oil fraction will be applied in cosmetics and dietary supplements, is very high in omega-3, and contains food-grade vitamins and carotenoids. THE CO2 SUPPLIERS ALGIECEL´s photobioreactors can go where large power-to-X projects cannot go. Specific target industries are biogas and fermentation companies. Here, small numbers of mobile container units can solve the CO2 emission problems of entire production sites – plug and play – while requiring little space by stacking and packing the containers on demand. THE ORGANIZATION TODAY ALGIECEL was founded in 2021 by Henrik Busch-Larsen, who also co-founded and scaled Unibio, a leading sustainable protein company. A team of highly skilled people has been established. The team holds leadership experience from notable companies such as Novonesis, Maersk, Falck, Nestlé, COWI, Chr. Hansen and BioPorto among others. The company collaborates with skilled partners such as RobLight, AN Group and the Danish Technological Institute (TI), where ALGIECEL´s first, mobile pilot reactor is located.”

Join Unibio’s journey in solving the World’s protein scarcity challenge here. One of the great challenges of humankind is how we can feed a fast-growing global population entitled to safe, healthy and affordable nutrition. In this endeavor, a robust supply of protein is key, a nutritional cornerstone and a necessary building block of all life and essential to the growth of cells and tissue repair. We believe the solution lies in Unibio’s high potential and mass-produced microbial protein; a tested, safe, eco-friendly, ethical technology approved by the EU capable of industrialising protein production for animal feed. Unibio is committed to a journey towards a world without protein scarcity.
