Sustainable Energy is a driving force for the green transition. Our aim is to accelerate the development and safe implementation of new and sustainable energy solutions through testing. Together with our partners, we provide invaluable expertise and state-of-the-art test infrastructure within green shipping, future fuels, floating offshore wind, CCS & the energy transition.

With about 16,000 students, Western Norway University of Applied Sciences (HVL) is one of the largest higher education institutions in Norway. The new institution offers a broad range of academic programmes at Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD levels. The ambition is to build stronger and more solid academic and research environments who will interact nationally and internationally. The aim is to become a visible actor on the international higher education arena through increased international cooperation and engagement in externally funded projects within education and research. Students at undergraduate and postgraduate level have access to high quality exchange opportunities abroad and staff-mobility is be encouraged. Because of the merger, a process of renegotiating all international agreements will start from 2017 as part of an assessment of existing international links and cooperation in the new institution.

Bømlo Næringsråd er ein lagspelar og eit talerøyr for alle medlemsbedriftene som driv næring på Bømlo. Næringsrådet legg til rette for gode møteplassar, arbeider med ulike utdanningstilbod, og ikkje minst bevisstgjering og rekruttering av ungdom om moglegheitene som finnes lokalt, for å sikre nok og rett kompetanse til arbeidslivet. Næringsrådet driv òg konkrete prosjekt, som bidrar til å utvikle ulike næringsområde. Medlemsbedriftene driv med alt frå maritim industri, fiskeri og havbruk, til bygg og anlegg, matproduksjon, reiseliv, handel og service. Samla sett utgjer bedriftene omlag 4 500 arbeidsplassar og 8 milliardar i omsetnad. Bømlo Næringsråd arbeider ellers lokalt, regionalt og nasjonalt for å fremje aktuelle saker for medlemsbedrifter. Me samarbeider òg med næringsråd i heile Vestland fylke gjennom Næringsalliansen, og saman utgjer me ei sterk og viktig røyst i utviklinga av det samla næringslivet i Vestland fylke.

Polytec is a research institute located in Haugesund, with the objective of pursuing research and development in the areas of environment and energy, gas and multiphase flow, technology and safety, maritime operations and other areas with a natural association to Haugalandet and Sunnhordland’s coastline.
