Based in Boston, Massachusetts and named after the Japanese deity that tamed fire for the good of humanity, Kojin is harnessing groundbreaking discoveries in cell-state and ferroptosis biology to develop first-in-class treatments for use in patients with cancer, and autoimmune and inflammatory diseases, among other disorders. Kojin has developed a drug-discovery platform that integrates computational chemistry, structural biology, chemical biology, target-informed screening, and mechanism-driven pharmacology to discover therapeutics that specifically modulate ferroptosis, a recently discovered and characterized cell-death mechanism. The Kojin team brings together scientific leadership in chemical biology, genetics, immunology, cancer therapeutics, drug discovery, and clinical development, as well as broad experience in biotechnology entrepreneurship.

There are more and more humans. More and more of them need surgery. Orthopedics especially is driven primarily by age and weight so... yeah. Its going to be impossible to train as many surgeons, let alone good and experienced ones, as the world needs. So what do we do? Let people die of a fractured hip?
We believe technology holds part of the answer. We believe the success or failure of a surgical intervention shouldnt be a direct result of the surgeons state of mind. We believe its possible to create tools that will improve both patient outcome and surgeon experience. We believe its unacceptable to live in a world where *5 billion* people have no access to surgery whatsoever.
We develop advanced robotics technologies for orthopedic surgeons. So that more people have access to life-changing orthopedic surgeries, safely and affordably. Freedom starts with movement. And we believe in what we do.
Supported by A-Level entrepreneurs and innovators such as Bruno Maisonnier (Founder of Aldebaran Robotics, Founder & CEO AnotherBrain) and world-class orthopedic surgeons, we work hard to change the status quo in surgery.
We are incubated at one of Europes best life science incubator, Paris Biotech Santé (ever heard of DNAScript, Therapenacea and Therapixel ? They are here too). We have raised significant seed money. We have gathered a world-class team. Were all in. Were still hiring.

Cancer continues to be a leading cause of disability and early mortality worldwide. Immune checkpoint blockade with PD/L-1 therapies such as Keytruda and Opdivo can induce complete and durable clinical responses in multiple tumors, a breakthrough in cancer treatment over the last decade. However, only around 20% of patients respond and many trials have failed
Many R&D programs in multiple companies are attempting to improve the clinical efficacy of PD/L-1 therapies, but no solution is yet approved. Most of these approaches target T-cells or the tumour microenvironment. Patients with healthier microbiomes respond better and therefore some companies are developing live biotherapeutics to enhance the microbiome, with initially promising clinical data.
Iome-Bio offers a differentiated approach through a targeted mode of action downstream of the microbiome’s action, enabling amplification of the signal with first in class monoclonal antibodies.
