Broadway Angels is an angel investment group made up of world-class investors and business executives who happen to be women. We each have decades of experience investing in and managing some of the best technology companies in the world. All of us are or have been General Partners in top tier venture capital firms and, or Senior Executives in leading technology companies. We have built remarkable careers and portfolios by cultivating a deep network of relationships with amazing entrepreneurs and executives. Broadway Angels invests in the very best people and ideas in early stage startups. The majority of our investments are in information technology, an area of deep expertise for most of us, but we are also open to exploring other investment opportunities. We are great team players and work well with other angels and venture capital firms. We typically do not take board seats but serve as excellent advisors and sounding boards to management teams. We have deep expertise in the areas of strategy, marketing, operations management, corporate governance, fundraising and recruiting. We believe corporate governance is essential to the long-term success of any company. While we are all women investors, 60% of our founders are men and 40% are women. We invest in the best entrepreneurs. Among our portfolio companies are: Other Machine Co, SupportPay, RocksBox, UrbanSitter, GemShare, Strevus, and Prism Skylabs.

California Casualty is in the sole business of providing individuals with high-quality insurance coverage and service at a competitive price. Since its founding in 1914, California Casualty has been led by four generations of Brown family members. Their unwavering dedication to California Casualty's continued excellence is woven through the entire fabric of our organization. California Casualty's mission is to provide protection and peace of mind for the people that serve our communities. This is evident from the success of California Casualty's long-term relationships with many different groups in the fields of education, law enforcement, and public safety. Special benefits are tailored to meet the unique needs of our customers. These include deductible waivers for cars damaged at school for educators, and premium waivers for the survivors of public safety officers who make the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. California Casualty is proud to serve the broader community in many ways. Each year our employees dedicate significant time and effort in a variety of activities to raise money for heart disease and cancer research, and to help those less fortunate with food and gifts during the holidays. We are also pleased to do our part to help the environment, by allowing customers to reduce their mail by opting for electronic payments and document delivery.

The Social Science Research Council (SSRC) is an independent, international, nonprofit organization founded in 1923. It fosters innovative research, nurtures new generations of social scientists, deepens how inquiry is practiced within and across disciplines, and mobilizes necessary knowledge on important public issues. The SSRC is guided by the belief that justice, prosperity, and democracy all require better understanding of complex social, cultural, economic, and political processes. We work with practitioners, policymakers, and academic researchers in the social sciences, related professions, and the humanities and natural sciences. We build interdisciplinary and international networks, working with partners around the world to link research to practice and policy, strengthen individual and institutional capacities for learning, and enhance public access to information.
