Equipoise Ventures is a venture capital fund that aims to support overlooked founders in today’s U.S. startup ecosystem. BIPOC founders have historically received disproportionate opportunities and funding, and Rising Tide is aiming to rectify that issue by providing early stage funding and services for startups owned and led by founders who identify as black, indigenous, or a person of color (BIPOC). By proving high-impact guidance and mentorship, EV is able to increase the innovation and success of our portfolio companies while allowing founders to join a tight-knit community.

Our site was founded by former Stanford student athletes with the mission of transforming the way student-athletes and their parents gain support as they navigate the confusing middle school and high school journey to reach college, a fulfilling career and beyond. Having support along the student-athlete journey is critical to manage uncertainty, obstacles & personal goals. Our 1-on-1 sessions, group webinars and free content are here to help clarify what is possible and how to get there. We are a team of former top tier collegiate student-athletes, admissions representatives & career guides who help all student-athletes from grades 6-12 & beyond

About Us: Our vision is to increase the effectiveness of nonprofits in the Bay Area so that all youth are able thrive, regardless of where they come from. We believe that with early-stage investment many more nonprofits could make the world a better place. The mission of All Stars Helping Kids is to disrupt the cycle of poverty and encourage innovation by seed funding emerging nonprofits in the Bay Area. We believe that breaking the cycle of poverty will give all youth a fair shot, and will benefit each and every one of us too. Our History: All Stars Helping Kids was born in 1989, when NFL Hall of Famer Ronnie Lott gathered his friends for a dinner to benefit the local community. Astounded that he had raised $100,000 in one night, Ronnie invested the money in several nonprofits that were fighting poverty in the South Bay. For nearly 25 years since, All Stars has used the simple formula of raising money and redistributing it to create opportunities in education, health and life skills for disadvantaged youth.
