Om Mushroom Superfood, designed to promote health, wellness and longevity is the brainchild of health wellness and integrative medicine enthusiast Sandra Carter, M.A., MPH, Ph.D. and mycologist Steve Farrar. Sandra spent over 30 years in the wellness profession as a researcher, and specialist in community, corporate and hospital disease prevention programs. She was introduced to Farrar who had spent 30 years growing mushrooms and who had recently developed a unique technology for producing a variety of powerful mushroom strains in an organic, clean room facility. As Carter began researching the benefits of the mushroom varieties, she realized there was a significant market potential for certified organic made in the USA medicinal mushroom products. These types of extremely powerful mushrooms such as Cordyceps, Reishi, Lion’s Mane and others are virtually unknown in Western Cultures – and yet are highly revered in Asian medicine. For thousands of years in Eastern Cultures, mushrooms have been recognized for their ability to optimize immune health, and are accepted as adjunct therapy for serious health conditions. Steve Farrar and Sandra Carter both saw a window of opportunity to increase awareness in Western Cultures about the benefits of mushrooms through the development of an innovative line of whole-food organic powders that can be easily added to your everyday eating routine. Today, each of the species used in Om’s certified organic mushroom powders are produced in the company’s Carlsbad, California facility. They include the full life-cycle of the mushrooms species, capturing nature’s incredible bioactivity in a fascinating growing process. Om takes pride in introducing their line of nutritious, easy to use innovative products and spread the experience of the benefits of the Mighty, Magnificent Mushroom!

Founded by Shelby Taylor in 2015, Chickapea was created to provide a nutritious, convenient and familiar meal option to families dealing with time constraints, picky eaters, allergies and health issues. As a former health food store owner and new mom, Shelby recognized the challenge of putting a healthy meal on the table that everyone would enjoy, so she turned a family favorite (pasta) into a superfood. Chickapea’s organic pasta made from only chickpeas and lentils hit store shelves in 2016. At its core, Chickapea is a force for good, making it easier for people to lead healthier lives and support sustainable, organic farming practices. But they don’t stop there, ensuring the business is not just benefiting those that consume their products, but those in the greatest need around the world, as well as their farmers, suppliers and employees. Chickapea is committed to donating 2% of revenue — not just profits— annually to provide nutritious meals to those in need while also supporting regenerative agriculture to help mitigate climate change.

Hello! nice to meet you, i’m Suzie and i’m on a mission to spread the word that fat is back... i’ve always loved fats, but for years i avoided them because we all heard the “low fat” message. i neglected good nutrition, especially through stressful times. juggling work (as a marketing executive for 10 years), being a mom of two cool kids and a triathlete did not jive well with my low fat ways. my body was not happy and i developed health issues. So i’ve spent the last three years researching nutrition and uncovering misinformation about sugar and fats. This led me to create a delicious line of snacks so that north americans can eat and enjoy good fats on the go! did i mention they are delicious? Fat is back! Sugar is out. We’ve launched 2 new bars - theyve been in the market for less than a year but we had such a great response, we are launching 2 new flavours. Loaded with good fats, low in sugar (1-2 gr only) and ridiculously delicious. Keto friendly, LCHF (Low Carbs High Fats) is healthier nutrition: more energy, feel fuller longer, feel satisfied, crazy delicious, rev up your metabolism and brain food. My brand will play a key role in getting North Americans eating more healthy fats, less sugar, feeling great about it and living healthier lives. Finally, fat is back!
