The Pasadena Angels Organization was founded in 2000 and is one of the longest-running angel investing groups in Southern California. We have invested over $95 million in 240 companies. Pasadena Angels funded companies have gone on to raise over $1 billion from additional funding sources such as venture capital and private equity. Recent notable exits for the Pasadena Angels are Mind Body Software (NASDAQ:MB) reaching $1 billion and Bluebeam Software, acquired by Nemetschek for $100 million. The Pasadena Angels has been consistently ranked as one of the top ten angel investing groups in the country according to Forbes, CB Insights, and Angel Resource Institute. A nonprofit entity, the Pasadena Angels offers early-stage start-ups capital investments; as well as mentoring from the expertise of more than 100 investor members with over 4,000 years of combined business expertise. Our $1.7 million PA Fund 2, formed in 2021 co-invests exclusively in deals subscribed by Pasadena Angels members. Our members invest individually and directly, without any legal pooling of financial resources. MADIA Tech Launch is a career, company, and industry incubator, established as a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation and providing educational services to the region's technical, scientific, and industrial workforce. The region is centered within and surrounding the cities of Monrovia, Arcadia, Duarte, Irwindale, and Azusa. Educational programs include, but are not limited to, entrepreneurship, business finance and operations, and technology development and commercialization.

EFFECTIVE May 1, 2021, Bruce Lathrop has moved his practice to Business Legal Partners, www.bizlegalpartners.com Bruce Lathrop has been a business lawyer in the Los Angeles area for over 31 years, providing strategic legal counseling to entrepreneurs and CEOs in intellectual property, corporate law, commercial and government contracts, dispute resolution, and federal research grants and cooperative agreements. Bruce has significant expertise in patent, trade secret, copyright, trademark, and other commercial and FAR, DFARS, & SBIR intellectual property law; government contractor and corporate internal investigations and compliance; license and contract drafting, negotiation, and dispute resolution involving computer hardware and software, medtech, biomedical, and aerospace technology, e-commerce, and system design, development, and testing. Bruce also assists clients with corporate formation, early-stage financing rounds, and acquisitions and restructuring. Bruce is currently serving as a Co-Chair of IP Committee and a Vice-Chair of State and Local Procurement Committee of the Public Contract Law Section of the American Bar Association. He is a registered patent attorney and member of the American Intellectual Property Law Association. Bruce received his law degree with honors from USC and his engineering degree from UCLA, where his upper division coursework focused on biomedical engineering, ergonomics, user interface design, and man-machine systems.
