Eukarÿs has developed the first ever artificial expression system able to synthesize in vivo autonomously messenger RNA (mRNA) and consequently the protein of interest in mammalian and other eukaryotic cells. Using the C3P3 system, Eukarÿs develop the unique synthetic gene therapy approach, which is a non-viral, safe, non-integrative, efficient, cost-effective, well-tolerated approach to treat human monogenic and multifactorial disorders. The same C3P3 system is also used for synthetic gene vaccination. For further information, see www.eukarys.com.

GENCLIS SA is a privately-held French Biotechnology that discovered a unique biological mechanism referred as to Transcription Infidelity (TI). Transcription Infidelity is a newly discovered and patented mechanism that incresases RNA-DNA sequence divergences (RDD). TI can lead to base substitutions, insertions and deletions. The latter cause translational frameshifts that have important consequences in determining protein immunogenicity. Genclis currently focuses on defining the effects of TI proteins translated from gapped RNA on normal and pathological humoral immunity.

The Braincoder project aims to develop a highly innovative new medical device designed to restore auditory perception in people with profound deafness (50 million people worldwide, including 100,000 with no therapeutic solution), without information loss, unlike current devices (cochlear implants or auditory brainstem implants). The project originates from the work of Brice Bathellier, Research Director at the Institut de l’Audition / Institut Pasteur, within a joint CNRS/INSERM research unit. The medical device is a brain implant based on artificial intelligence technology capable of translating sounds into electrical signals and directly stimulating the auditory cortex. Our implant converts sound information into the language of the brain. In June 2025, the project was awarded the Béatrice Denys Prize for its strong scientific, clinical, and entrepreneurial potential. The project is also supported by the Brain Institute (ICM) through its Neural program. The creation of a startup is planned by the end of 2026.

Innovation prize winner of many contests, Cardiawave is a clinical-stage company which develops an innovative non-invasive image-guided medical device (MD) to treat aortic valve stenosis with ultrasound technology. Aortic stenosis is a life-threatening disease which is a major public health concern in Western countries (10 million people affected). The MD uses focused ultrasound therapy to soften aortic valve leaflets and improve valve opening. The company was created at the end of 2014 as a result of a long-term partnership between the Langevin Institute / Physics for Medicine Paris, a world leader in ultrasound imaging and therapy, and the Georges Pompidou European Hospital (HEGP), a leader in the field of valve disease and cardiac ultrasound imaging.
