Natures Principles aims to disrupt traditional Agro-chemicals production processes through new fermentation and chemical technologies.
Our first process produces high grade lactic acid, to be used for biopolymers, green solvents, food/feed and many other applications.
Using proprietary platform technology based on mixed culture fermentation, we are feedstock agnostic and application agnostic, which means we utilize different residual streams on a a low-cost, low-maintenance, easy-to-operate, highly scalable production fermentation method that will then be complemented by refinery process to tackle a specific use case. We are focused on the fermentation step of lactic acid production to unlock the use of 2G residual streams as feedstock on the large scale.
Our core values are integrity, empathy, accountability and sustainability. We believe traditional processes and products need to be disrupted to enable local industries with energy and CO2-neutral production. In 2030, we hope to enable cost-competitive PLA production, where PLA can compete with crude oil products such as polystyrene and polypropylene on price and quality, whilst capturing CO2.
We are open for partnerships. Check in with us to start a conversation on how we can create a world were biodiversity, human and environmental needs coexist in a balanced way.

Some say we’re changing the game, some say we’re heroes and others might say we’re just totally bananas. We’d like to say we’re just one hundred percent set on challenging the current food industry. One banana at a time.
Sure, we’re turning otherwise discarded bananas into the most delicious food products. And yes, we’re really shaking things up in the outdated baked goods industry. But who knew we could gain so much awareness and actually change peoples habits around food waste with our products.
As we grew, our plans grew too. That’s why we’re opening worlds first ever Banana Factory where rejected bananas will be upcycled into ’no waste banana puree’. A unique raw material for our own products, but also the easiest switch to sustainability for a lot of (banana-based) food producers.
We changed the game, you make the change!

PeelPioneers is a scale-up that wants to make a DIFFERENCE.
Half the weight of an orange is its peel. Every time you drink a liter of juice, a kilo of peels remains somewhere. Waste, you will think and most companies think so too. Every year in the Netherlands we throw away more than 250 million kilos of citrus peels. Thats more than 10,000 trucks full!
A shame, because the peels can also be used as raw materials.
And this is already happening! In countries where citrus fruits grow (e.g. in Brazil & Florida), the peels are used to extract valuable raw materials.
Nowhere in the world does this happen with peels that are thrown away every day at supermarkets and restaurants. PeelPioneers is changing this. PeelPioneers processes citrus peels and thus extracts raw materials that can be used in various industries.
In this way we switch from waste to raw material and PeelPioneers contributes to the circular economy. PeelPioneers has the ambition to return 100% of the peel to the food chain and is able to do so with our partners.
