Fondazione Sviluppo e Crscita CRT was founded in 2007 through an initiative of Fondazione CRT. It is a non-profit organisation that operates in accordance with the institutional activity of the Fondazione CRT including innovative activities in the field of impact investing. Philanthropy at the core but also business, finance and public administration: different worlds supporting each other to create social value. This "Impact Revolution"​ is a joint action of patient private investors alongside traditional grants. Fondazione Sviluppo e Crescita CRT plays a fundamental role in originating initiatives related to megatrends with potential impact on the regional ecosystem from the entrepreneurial sphere to the less privileged citizens. Fondazione Sviluppo e Crescita CRT always aimed to transfer skills, develop new contents and networks, increase the sustainability of projects and promote innovation. Multiple projects launched in various areas from social innovation to green economy. Fondazione Sviluppo e Crescita CRT has initiated the implementation of the first “Pay by Result” in Italy, inspired by the first Social Impact Bond in UK. This project is focused on social and labor reintegration of detainees. In addition to the generated impact from the implementation of the project, the most important result is the application of pay-by-result in Italy. Thanks to this tool, the Public Administration has had benefits from savings. The most relevant aspect is surely the new design model of advanced social policies ready to use that could support and revolutionize the social welfare. Three years ago, FSC decided to launch its most ambitious project: the construction of a new landmark in Turin. An urban regeneration of an abandoned 35.000-square-meters train maintenance centre. Known as "OGR"​, the place aims to become a catalyst for social impact in the fields of Innovation and Culture.
