Suomen avoimien tietojärjestelmien keskus (COSS) on voittoa tavoittelematon yhdistys. COSS on perustettu vuonna 2003 ja toimii avoimen lähdekoodin, avoimen datan, avoimien rajapintojen sekä avoimien standardien edistäjänä. COSS myös edistää ylläpidettyjen ja kestävien avointen ratkaisujen kehittämistä ja soveltamista eri kaupankäynnin aloilla sekä julkisella sektorilla. COSS tuottaa jäsenilleen korkealaatuista liiketoiminnan ja pätevyyden kehittämispalveluita. Edustamme kasvavaa liikealan yhteisöä. Tällä hetkellä jäsenmäärämme on noin 150, ja siihen lukeutuu avoimen datan palveluntuottajia, jälleenmyyjiä, sekä molempia, julkisia että yksityisiä, organisaatioita, jotka käyttävät toiminnassaan avoimia ratkaisuja ja innovaatiomalleja. COSS:n tavoite on vahvistaa Suomen ohjelmistoalaa, edistää ja kansainvälistää avointen ratkaisujen liiketoimintoja ja tukea Suomen tietoyhteiskunnan kehitystä avointen teknologioiden ja yhteisöjen avulla. ----------------------- In English COSS - the Finnish Centre for Open Systems and Solutions, founded in 2003, is a non-profit association for open source business ecosystem in Finland and the number one gateway to Finnish open source. COSS promotes the development and adoption of managed and sustainable open source solutions in various areas of business as well as in public sector. COSS provides its members with high-quality business and competence development services and represents a growing business community. The members of COSS include more than 150 open source service providers, retailers and both public and private organizations deploying open source solutions and innovation models. The objective of COSS is to strengthen the competitiveness of Finland's software intensive industries, promote the growth and internationalization of open source businesses, and reinforce the development of the Finnish information society with the support of open technologies and communities.
