We are a mother-son duo who are thrilled to bring to life a restaurant that captures the voice of Memorial, our family’s very own scratch-made kitchen called Ember & Greens. This concept has come to life out of our family’s experience in Memorial restaurants, and we are grateful for the immense support from several leading restaurateurs in town. Our food at Ember & Greens is much like our family, modern American at the core with flavorful influences from around the world. We pride ourselves on serving a menu that is flexible for the whole family, from comfort to healthy and many delicious options for meat-eaters and vegetarians alike. Plus, our menu includes a variety of local purveyors. As one of the most iconic neighborhoods in Houston, Memorial deserves the presence of an eatery that caters to their evolving tastes. The centerpiece of our restaurant is a blazing, coal-fired oven, which is where the inspiration for “Ember” in our name comes from. And "Greens" is meant to capture our focus on natural, fresh and whole foods. Our restaurant is built for the Memorial community, by active and dedicated members of our community. Our Story Our family has made all natural, non-processed, so-good-humans-can-eat-it dog foods at home for over 20 years. We use human-grade proteins and vegetables - the same exact stuff we eat ourselves. Our products are made without animal by-products, synthetic ingredients or fillers. Lola and Baxter, our German shepherd mix and shiatsu duo, have great energy, shiny coats, strong nails, healthy eyes, less hip and joint issues for Lola and nearly zero asthma for Baxter. Most importantly, we have less visits to the vet. Recently, our vet took notice of our pups health and suggested we share our food to other pups under her care. Thats when we realized the health benefits experienced by our pups could (and should) be shared with the dogs of the world.
