From Oregon BEST to VertueLab! Our beginnings harken back to 2007 when we were formed as Oregon BEST, a non-profit economic development engine funded by the State of Oregon to support cleantech startups. As a powerful force providing access to critical support and funding, our mission is similar but has evolved even further. Today we are thrilled to introduce our new brand, VertueLab. VertueLab is a bridge between cleantech innovators and those who fuel their work with funding and investment. For innovators - we deliver acceleration programs to help their companies grow and attract capital. For funders - we amplify their philanthropic and economic development goals. For impact investors - we are a conduit for direct investing for a combination of financial return and measurable impact. We are innovating alongside our portfolio companies by developing new impact investing models to fuel their growth and the tools to measure the environmental and social impact that their success brings. Our strategy includes expanding our geographic reach deeper into the Pacific Northwest region. We couldn’t be prouder to forge a new future ahead. Contact us at VertueLab.org

Make-A-Wish Oregon grants the wishes of children with critical illnesses to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy. We serve children ages 2 1/2 to 18 who live in Oregon and Clark County, Washington. In fiscal year 2023, we are on track to grant 270 wishes to local children. Studies show that a wish improves the quality of life for children. A Wish Impact Study conducted by TCC Group from 2010 through 2011 found that wish experiences benefit children’s health, both in the short and long-term. According to the study: • 89% of health care professionals surveyed say they believe that the wish experience can influence wish kids’ physical health. • 91% of parents observed that the wish experience increased their child’s emotional health. • 81% of parents observed an increased willingness by their wish kids to comply with treatment protocols.
