Women Moving Millions is a global community of individual philanthropists who have each made a minimum $1 million commitment to advance gender equality. To date, WMM members have collectively committed nearly $1 billion to organizations and initiatives serving women and girls worldwide. By supporting members to leverage their collective voice, influence, and resources, and by creating opportunities to amplify their impact, WMM pursues its mission to catalyze unprecedented resources to build a gender equal world. We do this not just because we believe in gender equality, but because it’s a smarter, more effective way to foster a better future for all.

Lack of access to menstrual materials, accurate information about menstruation, and safe, private spaces to manage menstruation is a human rights issue. Poor menstrual health impacts people’s mobility, confidence, and understanding of their bodies, too often inhibiting their equitable participation in society and acting as a barrier to gender equality.
Since our official founding in 2014, our mission at Be Girl is to help bridge the access gap in Menstrual Health and Hygiene (MHH), so that our high-quality products and menstruation education reach those who need it the most. We collaborate with NGOs, UN agencies, and governments in their MHM efforts by providing high-quality reusable period products like our PeriodPanty™ and menstruation education with our SmartCycle® methodology, enabling partners to achieve their global impact goals in health, education, gender equality, and more.

The UNs Sanitation and Hygiene Fund (SHF) works to achieve universal access to sanitation, hygiene and menstrual health through market-based approaches. SHF works with Low- and Middle-Income Countries (LMICs) to catalyze investment into robust, climate-resilient sanitation economies and the menstrual health and hygiene (MHH) market. With a focus on innovative financing, gender and sustainability, SHF aims to capitalize on the strengths of its in-country and global partners to deliver a 21st-century solution to the decades-old crisis on sanitation, hygiene and menstrual health.
