Purpose: Leverage the engineering skills and enthusiasm of Oxford University students to empower people to improve the lives of others. Vision Statement: EWBOx will become the leading UK based student society that makes a positive difference to the world through engineering. Mission statement: EWB-Ox creates innovative engineering-based projects to remove barriers to human development from Oxfordshire to the rest of the world. Engineers Without Borders Oxford (EWBOx) is a student led development engineering charity which seeks to leverage the skills and experiences of Oxford students and faculty to produce efficient, innovative engineering solutions to human development problems around the world. We currently have half a dozen teams working on a range of development problems spanning dozens of academic disciplines, with students from around the globe working on them. With the assistance of a range of corporate supporters, influential NGOs and charities, as well as the academic juggernaught of the Oxford University Engineering Department, we will deliver significant improvement to the lives of many.
