Sthyr Energy Private Limited, a startup initiated at IIT Madras, is pioneering grid-scale energy storage for renewable power through zinc-air batteries as long-duration energy storage systems. Sthyr Energy was founded by Gunjan Kapadia, Akhil Kongara, and Muhammed Hamdan, all of whom are PhD from IIT Madras. Prof. Aravind Kumar Chandiran (IIT Madras) is a technology advisor and Mr. Shaaji John (Ohmium) is the market advisor to Sthyr Energy. The idea is to store excess energy in summer as metallic zinc at an energy density of 6000 Wh/l and then utilize it during monsoon and winter. The solution is low-cost, safe, and entirely indigenously developed, which generated multiple patents. Sthyr Energy develops 200 kWh, 10 kW battery modules, and 10 kW zinc regeneration units as a modular solution scalable up to GWh. Sthyr Energy aims to reduce solar and wind energy curtailment by offering clean, high-quality, and safe energy solutions, driving sustainability, and reducing carbon emissions for a greener future.

Peptris is an AI powered preclinical drug discovery company working on oncology, inflammation and rare diseases. At Peptris, we have created an array of AI models to predict various parameters that are critical for a novel molecule to be considered a potential drug candidate. All these models are orchestrated by an automated pipeline that prunes large purchasable compound datasets to identify potential hits and also creates denovo variations of compounds that are predicted to be novel, potent, safe, selective, and active clinically. The pipeline ensures that the number of compounds to be tested and validated in a wet lab are minimal, making our discovery efficient, faster and cost effective. We have some exciting wet lab results from our proprietary discovery programs and we are currently accelerating them into preclinical development.

Newtrace is developing next-gen, innovative membraneless electrolyzers to enable the wide-scale adoption of green hydrogen at an affordable cost to help combat climate change.
