Kunact is a marketplace for items to rent by connecting people within their community. Has this ever happened to you?After a long and stressful day at work, I could almost taste my soon-to-be warm snack when I found that my microwave was not working. Fortunately, it was actually still under warranty. Unfortunately, it took 10 days for the technician to come out just to see what was wrong, another two weeks for the part to be ordered and arrive, and then a few more days after that for it to be installed and finally fixed. Phew! Long story short, I was without a microwave for three weeks. In this day and age, that’s an eternity! Knowing that it was going to be fixed soon, I wasn’t going to buy another microwave. But what could I do during the time that I was waiting? That got me thinking:what if I could rent a daily-used appliance like a microwave for the time that I needed it? The idea of Kunact was born. People usually have extra stuff lying around in their garage, basements or storage areas that are just taking up space sitting in boxes. Then there are other people, like me without my microwave, that just want to rent something for a short time. The solution: those unused items could be used by others who need them and, in return, bring in some money instead of just sitting around. Why not let your unused items work for you?
