Phenomic is an innovative biotech company based in Boston and Toronto that specializes in developing new medicines targeting the tumor stroma. The tumor stroma is a dense web of connective tissue that surrounds solid tumors and plays a crucial role in treatment resistance and disease progression. Phenomic's scTx platform contains an extensive and optimally-curated atlas of single-cell cancer and normal tissue data and is powered by proprietary machine learning software to provide unparalleled insight into target expression and selectivity. Using scTx, Phenomic can identify exquisitely selective targets that can directly reprogram the tumor microenvironment or deliver cancer-killing payloads such as immune engagers and antibody-drug conjugates. Additionally, Phenomic has developed tumor stroma-specific experimental systems, including co-culture and disease-relevant in vivo models, to dissect stromal biology and maximize the likelihood of clinical success. Phenomic's lead program targets a novel extracellular matrix protein identified by scTx that is highly tumor selective and expressed by a pathogenic subtype of cancer-associated fibroblasts we term ecmCAFs. We have demonstrated clear in vivo proof-of-concept for this program building our conviction in scTx’s ability to identify novel high-impact, druggable targets. To date, Phenomic has raised over $15 million and has built a world-class team of employees, advisors, and investors.

Locomation was founded in 2018 by a team of the world’s foremost experts on autonomous vehicles, robotics, and artificial intelligence from Carnegie Mellon’s National Robotics Engineering Center and trucking industry leaders with deep knowledge and experience in every aspect of the trucking business. We are motivated by the challenge of solving problems that have hindered the trucking industry for decades. Trucks transport more than 70% of the nation’s freight. E-commerce has sharply increased the need for freight trucking services. Demand is expected to grow 36% between 2020 and 2031.1 At a time when demand has never been stronger, persistent driver shortages create capacity constraints that force carriers to turn down orders.

There is a growing need for pediatric home care which is currently not being met. Many children are spending time in hospitals and institutional care unnecessarily while home care is 10 times less expensive, more effective, and convenient. The pediatric home care market has not kept pace with this growing demand and is in need of thousands more nurses. To address the growing demand for pediatric home care, SwiftShift is reimagining pediatric home care delivery by creating the first caregiver-managed pediatric home care service. Our long-term mission is to increase the number of pediatric nurses who choose to work in this field so that every child can access reliable home care. Our unique offering creates more meaningful relationships between patients, families, and caregivers. We’ve replaced office-based case managers with nurse care teams and empowered them to manage the safe transition from the hospital to long-term home-based care. These self-managed teams choose their patients and control their schedules, creating a greater sense of ownership over their care management. We use an AI-based home care management platform to help our care teams focus on delivering care. No more manuals, no more paper! By providing all the relevant data in an easy-to-access interface, caregivers can make better decisions for the well-being of their patients. Most importantly, at SwiftShift we know the best patient outcomes start and end with the best nursing experience. That’s why we are committed to our caregivers’ professional development by providing 24/7 training and support services.
