1809 Capital is a financial return focused investment platform leveraging the Miami alumni network. Instrumental in achieving this objective is the ability to engage a motivated alumni network providing access to high quality growth stage deal flow. Fund strategy is executed by experienced venture fund managers and leverages alumni active as venture industry entrepreneurs, investors, board directors, and C-level management. 1809s members are afforded the opportunity to network with experienced executives in the innovation ecosystem and engage in collaboration with Miami’s Altman School of Entrepreneurship (Nasdaq 2020 Center of Entrepreneurial Excellence, Princeton Review Top 10 Entrepreneurship Program).

RedHawk Ventures is a Miami University student-run venture capital fund. We provide advice and funding up to the amount of $25,000 to Miami University student and alumni founded startups.

Block Key Capital (BKC) is a US-based research and investment firm dealing exclusively with the emerging cryptoasset class. BKC’s founding partners were first brought together while creating their university’s blockchain organization. Here they discovered a mutual passion and drive to be a part of the blockchain revolution. With more than 20 years of combined experience in the space, these eight like-minded individuals launched BKC Investments with the goal of providing exposure and education in this emerging asset class. Additionally, BKC has developed a wide range of affiliates, including the BlockVenture Coalition and Miami Universitys Blockchain Club. BlockVenture Coalition combines a growing network of universities, venture capital firms, and leading individuals in the blockchain space. BKC also has close ties to Miami Universitys Blockchain Club, connecting them to a large student and faculty base.
