ClassDojos mission is to give every child on Earth an education they love. We started by building a network that connects teachers, children, and families. ClassDojo’s flagship app is the #1 communication app connecting K-8 teachers, children, and families, globally. They use it to share what’s happening throughout the day through photos, videos, messages, and activities. It is actively used at an unprecedented scale: in over 95% of US schools, reaching ~51 million children in ~180 countries, all built by a team of 65 people [1]). We are now beginning to use this network to give kids the best learning experiences in the world, far beyond those a standard school can provide. We hire for talent density. Our team comprises the most talented, entrepreneurial, and innovative teammates from around the world, with deep backgrounds in education and large scale consumer internet, including Instagram, Netflix, Dropbox, Uber, Y Combinator, and more. We’re building a company where the most talented people want to work. We believe you’ll do the best work of your life here—and you’ll pioneer the future of education, too.

At EOS, we work with districts to support their commitment to increasing academic opportunities for all of their students – especially those who are historically underserved and underrepresented. Our model is built on deep partnerships in which we provide data, insights, and year-round support to ensure that all students have equal access to advanced academic programs like AP, IB, and dual enrollment, and thrive once enrolled. Simply put, we want students to have the opportunity to build the life they want. Our data and experience has shown that opening access to rigorous coursework pushes students to success in both school and beyond. Since 2011, EOS has helped districts truly understand the academic interests, aspirations, and barriers to success for each of their students to identify the courses that best align with their unique goals. We work with a diverse range of districts, from rural and suburban to the biggest urban school systems in the country.

We believe in the potential and ability of talented youth from low-income backgrounds. Each year, thousands of exceptional young people do not apply to great colleges and careers due to lack of information and financial limitations. We find these talented youth and give them the opportunity to build a brighter future for themselves and for our nation. How does it work? We operate programs that recruit, develop, and support motivated low-income students through high school, college, and into their first job. We leverage the power of data, our custom college application for low-income students, an extensive alumni network, and partnerships with America’s best colleges and companies to help talented youth dream big.

SBP solves the challenges facing at risk communities by bringing the discipline, process, and rigor of business and innovation to create social impact and shrink the time between disaster and recovery. SBP does this in three ways – reach, rebuild and reform. We broaden our reach, ensuring more people are prepared for and can recover from disaster more quickly. We rebuild communities efficiently and resiliently following disaster, sharing our model, approach and resources. And, we are constantly working to reform by advocating for policy change and advising state and local leaders on disaster recovery process improvement. Since its founding in 2006 in St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana following the devastation wrought by Hurricane Katrina, SBP has rebuilt homes for more than 2,300 families with the help of 130,000 volunteers in 13 communities across the U.S. and in the Bahamas. Lick-Wilmerding High School has an institutional commitment to diversity and encourages applications from candidates of diverse and under-represented backgrounds. Located in San Francisco, LWHS is a college preparatory, co-educational day school serving 500 students from grades 9-12. Founded in 1895 as a technical arts school and tuition free until 1972, LWHS has a long history of welcoming and supporting students from all walks of life and prides itself on being a private school with public purpose. At LWHS, a diverse student body, faculty, and staff in all its forms is central to what we believe constitutes an excellent education, and we are institutionally committed to ongoing reflective work in order to further define and articulate this complex and worthwhile vision. The average full time teacher workload is 62 students, the students are motivated, and the compensation is generous. Lunch is included in the comprehensive benefits package for faculty and staff. Successful teaching candidates will have developed a thoughtful teaching practice, have three years of teaching experience at a minimum, have earned a teaching credential, masters degree, or equivalent experience, and know that teachers at the high school level serve as role models and educators both inside and outside the classroom. A love of high school students, flexibility, and a sense of humor are required.
