The UN Global Compact is the world's largest sustainability network for business, with over 15 000 participants from 164 countries. As a special initiative of the UN Secretary-General, the United Nations Global Compact is a call to companies everywhere to align their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption, and to take action in support of UN goals. The Global Compact Swedish Network support both local firms and subsidiaries of multinational corporations in implementing the UN Global Compact Ten Principles and meeting the annual reporting requirement. The networks help companies to identify sustainability challenges and opportunities; provide practical guidance for action; and promote action in support of broader UN goals. Transparency International Sverige (TI Sverige) är en oberoende ideell organisation som tillsammans med ytterligare ett hundratal nationella avdelningar världen över ingår i det globala nätverket Transparency International. TI Sverige arbetar i Sverige med att bedriva en bred informationsverksamhet och opinionsbildning för att sprida kunskap om korruptionen och dess skadeverkningar och verka för ökad transparens, integritet och ansvarsutkrävande. TI Sverige är inte ett brottsbekämpande organ utan arbetar förebyggande med att bidra till att undvika de skador som korruption innebär för alla delar av samhället. TI Sverige är oberoende gentemot de svenska statsmakterna och finansieras främst genom bidrag och medlemsavgifter från företag och privatpersoner. Transparency International (TI), till vilken ett hundratal nationella avdelningar världen över är anslutna, har sitt internationella sekretariat i Berlin. Sedan grundandet 1993 har TI lyckats i sin målsättning att sätta korruption på den internationella agendan och har vuxit till att bli en internationell auktoritet på områden som rör korruption.

Our mission is to empower rights holders and to promote responsible business practices and inclusive growth. We want to achieve this by creating awareness and engagement across three main stakeholder groups: civil society, business actors and public authorities. Our three interrelated intervention strategies are: research and investigation, dialogue and engagement and capacity building. Since 2003 we have published more than 100 reports and briefings and conducted research in over 40 countries, uncovering pressing human rights and environmental issues across sectors ranging from extractives and agriculture to energy.

Civil Rights Defenders is an international human rights organisation, founded in 1982 in Stockholm, Sweden. We defend people’s civil and political rights and empower human rights defenders in Sweden and globally. All countries need a strong civil society that scrutinizes those in power and presses for positive development. That is why we combine human rights work with efforts to empower local human rights defenders. Together with local partners we monitor the authorities and demand accountability when they violate human rights in law or practice. We take legal action against states, and inform and lobby decision makers to effect change and seek justice. Local human rights defenders are at the centre of all our work. We draw attention to their situation, and seek to support them with training, resources or expertise to protect the space in which they act and strengthen their work. Civil Rights Defenders was founded as a part of the Helsinki movement, under the name Swedish Helsinki Committee for Human Rights. In 2009, we decided to change our name into one that better reflects our work and objectives today.
