New Index is a start-up company developing a scalable and instant electronic whiteboard, where the sensor is located by the data projector. The whiteboard can be created instantaneously on any surface. In the sensor unit, a small camera chip captures the pen's movements, allowing pointing operations and any writing or drawing to appear on the screen instantaneously. The New Index' patented technology utilizes pattern recognition and identification of special optical patterns made by the pen. Active pens and pointers may also utilize New Index' patented principles, like in the infrared emitting pen where the special pattern is invisible to the users, but detectable by our camera sensors. In all configurations, New Index' innovative technology will provide instantaneous operation and intuitive interaction, with drawing and operating speed unsurpassed in the AV-industry today (133 updates per sec.). By utilizing low cost consumer market components together with a highly integrated proprietary chip, New Index can offer very competitive prices.
