Most kids at least go through a phase of fussy eating, and 25% of typically developing children never grow out of it, setting unhealthy habits that can last a lifetime. Meanwhile 20% of children in Australia are now overweight or obese before entering primary school at 5 years old [1], and between 25–50% of these kids never lose the weight [2], or the habits that contribute to it.
Picky eating can start with offering your child too many “kid foods” like chicken-nuggets, or with the extra effort you go to preparing separate foods for kids and adults, or even as simply as using the wrong spoon.[3] (.... Or feeding implement)
But just imagine if your child wanted to eat their veggies, cereal or whatever you like.
No tricks or pleading, and they’re actually enjoying their meal (so that you can too!)
Mealtimes could actually be about family bonding and happy food exploration.
Mashblox® are soft hollow silicone building blox for self-feeding mash foods, and one of the most revolutionary discoveries in our consumer research was that fussy eating isn’t often about taste at all.
When Mashblox #MakesGoodFoodsFun, other fussy children have started eating banana, avocado, porridge or even spinach, and all with less mess, since mash foods bounce rather than go splat on the floor.
We believe that infant self-feeding sets kids up for happy, independent, mindful eating and healthier BMI. Our multi-award winning #MissionDriven model has engaged upwards of four Universities with research of the benefits of safe self-feeding, starting with our pro-bono partnership with University of Canberra, 2016.

With offices in Australia and Sweden - Organic response, a member of the Fagerhult Group, develops world leading technology for the built environment. Our core product is an Intelligence lighting control system that allows each individual luminaire to make lighting decisions based on the presence of occupants in its immediate vicinity, ambient light levels, and information it receives from its neighbouring luminaires. It then contributes information back to the luminaire community, so other luminaires can also make more informed lighting decisions.
Although they make decisions individually, Distributed Intelligence means all the lights in a defined space act as a coordinated whole. The result is a highly flexible, energy efficient lighting control system with a compelling proposition to developers, building owners and tenants:
* Organic Response is easy to install. Because the control technology is integrated into light fittings before delivery to the building site, installation is as easy as installing a luminaire. The system is completely Plug & Play, with no additional wiring or commissioning required for the system to operate.
* Once installed, the system is simple to operate, with various control parameters adjustable using a simple smartphone app.
* Organic Response has a rich feature set, delivering highly sophisticated lighting control through motion detection, daylight dimming, and scenes and zones functionality, amongst many others.
* The system has been independently evaluated in multiple installations, showing energy savings of between 56% -78%.
