Our mission is to help more people start better startups.
ODF is a program we created over four years ago to help those at the exploration stage of starting a company. So far, weve helped over 1000 companies get started and raise over $2 billion.
Starting a company is really exciting, but there are so many things you need to figure out in order to actually build one.
- "Who might I start my company with?"
- “What might we build?”
- “Who might our initial customers be?”
- “Should we raise funding soon, or should we try to bootstrap in the beginning?"
These and many more questions are what we refer to as the "missing pieces"—the things you need to figure out to know if starting a company is right for you and what company you should ultimately build.
With ODF, we bring together 80 to 100 people who are at the very same stage as you. Theyre all exceptionally talented, and theyre all trying to figure it out together.

Investments + Mentoring+ Networks

Accra Angels Network provides the platform for ‘mid-to-high’ net worth individuals or institutions to invest their funds and resources in Ghanaian based early stage businesses, which have a significant growth potential, a latent ability to generate disproportionate returns, and demonstrable social and economic impact.
We fulfill our mission by providing a platform through which business angels can evaluate, exchange information and make investment decisions on opportunities presented by entrepreneurs.
Accra Angels Network offers more than just a network for investors, and we offer more than just finance for small and growing businesses. We connect promising ventures with the necessary resources (Investments + Mentoring+ Networks) to put them on the path of sustained growth and profitability.

Asime Ventures is the preferred angel, seed and pre-Series A firm in Ghana, with a reputation for successful partnerships across Africa, both Anglophone and Francophone.
We’re looking for innovation, hard work and grit, and have a strict criteria for selecting our next startup partners.
While we only invest in a handful of companies a year, it means we can focus solely on those who we believe really have the founders, team and drive to succeed.
We invest between $5k and $50k in Angel to pre-Series A round across Africa, notably Ghana, Kenya, Côte dIvoire, Madagascar, Togo, Nigeria and South Africa.

Techstars helps founders scale their startups into world-changing businesses.
Founded in 2006, Techstars is on a mission to invest in startups to enable more capital to flow to more entrepreneurs around the world in order to deliver exceptional returns to our investors. We do this by operating accelerator programs and venture capital funds, as well as by connecting startups, investors, corporations, and cities to help build thriving startup communities.
Our results show why Techstars is Better for Founders than any other global accelerator: On average, 74.5% of Techstars companies will raise money within 3 years of their program; 18.5% of Techstars portfolio companies have exited 5 years after their program and 31.1% after eight years.
