Expired warranty solar panels and batteries are collected and transported safely to advanced recycling facilities where critical materials needed for re-use are recovered. These are then reprocessed and used to create affordable, high-quality “Second Life” panels and batteries at a fraction of the cost of new. Every regenerated system made avoids the production of tonnes of carbon emissions by reducing the need for mining and processing of virgin materials. Our approach not only lowers the environmental footprint of energy storage but also helps organisations meet ambitious carbon offset goals. With millions of systems approaching end-of-warranty over the next decade, the regeneration opportunity is vast. Demand for more affordable, sustainable energy production and storage is growing in established markets, emerging markets, disaster relief operations and off-grid communities worldwide.
