Boréas Technologies Inc. is a fabless semiconductor company commercializing product-differentiating integrated circuits for haptic applications in consumer and industrial markets. With origins in research conducted at Harvard University, Boréas was founded in 2016 in Bromont, Québec. Its proprietary piezoelectric actuator driver technology platform, CapDrive, enables the rapid design of low-power HD haptic feedback in wearables, smartphones, game controllers and other devices.

Kaloom is comprised of a group of technology veterans with proven track records of delivering large-scale networking, analytics and AI-based solutions for the world’s largest networks. Having come from leading companies including Ericsson, Xelerated, Cisco, Redback Networks, 3Com, Nortel and Apple, we have come together to build a critically-needed solution to address the emerging challenges in data center networking. Backed by strong investors (Fonds FTQ, Somel Investments Inc., MBUZZ) and partners (Red Hat, Accton, Barefoot, Foxconn) that share in Kaloom’s belief, ideas and future direction; we are committed to creating a world class solution that will change the data center networking industry. Our research and development office is located in the heart of the Quartier de l'innovation in Montreal, Quebec with the sales and marketing teams Silicon Valley. At Kaloom, we see a “perfect storm” forming in the data center networking industry. To meet these headwinds we are developing a new solution that promises to deliver the highest performance, lowest-cost and greenest network possible. By leveraging networking white boxes from Accton, Delta, and Foxconn to drive down costs, our mission is to become the leader in fully automated data center networking software suitable for the data center operator, telco, enterprise, cloud, and gaming industries.

Today, almost everything depends on networks. The rise of connected devices, on-line media and services, virtualization, and the advent of cloud computing place unprecedented demands on data networks. The required infrastructure has become difficult to scale and expensive to manage. The pace of technological change is only accelerating, as personal devices are becoming increasingly powerful and bandwidth-hungry, challenging existing solutions particularly at the network edge, where load balancing, service chaining, packet steering, traffic visibility are overly complex, limit throughput, degrade service latency, and are proving enormously expensive, especially for cybersecurity use cases. In order to cope, networks need network fabrics optimized for virtualized services such as cybersecurity that can optimize traffic and scale economically. NoviFlow believes programmable match-action technology is the key to delivering networks that can meet these challenges, and that can become key enablers of our customers’ information processing strategies. This is why NoviFlow has invested relentlessly in developing engineering and programming expertise in programmable forwarding planes, and as a consequence has become one of the world’s leading vendors of High-Performance Programmable Network Solutions, Network Operating Software (NOS), Service Programming, and Cybersecurity Optimization to network operators, data center operators, enterprises and government agencies seeking greater network performance, flexibility, cost-efficiency, and security. Established in 2012, NoviFlow has offices in Sunnyvale, Montreal, and Seattle.
