Another Place is a London based, free-to-play mobile game studio founded by some of the guys that brought you the award winning ‘Fable’ franchise.
We see it as our mission to deliver fun and engaging games of the highest possible quality to your mobile phone and tablet. We believe the best games come from small teams who are willing to take risks and innovate and, after the success of our debut project ‘Dragon Finga’ which has achieved over 3.5M downloads, we returned to our roots with the genre defining fantasy game BattleHand. Launching in Jan 16, it achieved Editor’s choice on iOS and has been downloaded over 4.5M times to date. Building on this early success, we’re now developing several new titles.
At Another Place we have built a kick ass team of game makers to produce the best free to play Role Playing games on mobile platforms. Our teams are small, and we operate in an environment where empowerment, passion, commitment and fun are all key values.
We’re not on this journey alone. We have some fantastic Advisors and Investors who support our business. Our VC investors are Initial Capital, Connect Ventures and Proxy Ventures. All three bring huge experience in social, mobile and free-to-play having guided similar studios, such as Space Ape Games, Supercell, Hutch Games and Supersolid to success.
We’re also supported by Head Gear Films, Chris Lee and Sean O’Connor, as both Investors and Advisors, as well as the Walton Family, who have proved invaluable over the course of the studios conception.

Get clear feedback, wherever you’re writing
Everyone has to be a writer now; text is the primary medium of communication and if we’re bad at it, we really lose out. Getting our message exactly right means we can explain the value of our products to our customers, persuade our colleagues of our ideas and publish our thoughts on the web.
Writing is also something lots of us find really hard; putting ideas into written words and explaining those in a coherent way is a tricky job. So we turn to others for help: getting feedback is crucial for us to perfect what we’re trying to communicate.
But the tools we use to get feedback right now aren’t optimised for that process. None of them make the act of asking for feedback simple: finding the right person who is willing, available and capable of helping is hard.
And that’s the problem we’re trying to solve: Poetica wants to help you communicate better by making it really easy to ask for feedback, from the right people.
