Mission: To act as a catalyst for community-driven economic development by creating products and services that increase entrepreneurial activity and foster economic empowerment within marginalized Hispanic communities. Our first project is BLVD MRKT, an artisan food hall market in Downtown Montebello serving quality craft food & beer by community restauranteurs. Through a public private partnership with the City of Montebello, we are adaptively re-using and repurposing a +100 year old building into a vibrant community hangout in the heart of Downtown Montebello. Through our efforts and partnerships BLVD MRKT will create 100 new jobs for the local economy, create 6 new businesses and accelerate economic revitalization efforts in Downtown Montebello.

The Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals serves its membership by focusing on three key interest areas: 1. Developing and improving supply chain management skills by creating opportunities for communication and dialogue among those in the profession 2. Conducting research that adds to the knowledge base of supply chain theory and practice 3. Serving as a resource to create an awareness of the critical role of logistics in the global economy and its significance to business activities As a business professional with a vested career interest in the field of logistics, you are part of a highly dynamic profession: current global developments and technological innovations are impacting logistics today as never before. While the contributions that logistics makes to a firm’s competitive strengths have often been “invisible” in the past, many factors have coalesced to heighten its importance and visibility in the 1990s and beyond. CSCMP exists to: Provide opportunities for supply chain professionals to communicate in order to develop and improve their supply chain management skills. Identify and conduct research which adds to the knowledge base of supply chain theory and practice. Create awareness of the significance of supply chain to business and to the economy.

Charlotte Maxwell Clinic is a womens health clinic founded in Oakland in 1991, offering free integrative care to under-served, low-income women with cancer. For almost 30 years, CMC has been working to improve health outcomes and decrease health care disparities of hundreds of Bay Area women battling cancer and poverty. A corps of over 160 volunteer practitioners provides the integrative treatments which include acupuncture, herbal medicine, homeopathy, bodywork, guided imagery, movement, and nutritional therapies. These healing modalities have been shown to help the immune system recover from the harsh but necessary and life-saving treatments of Western medicine. Most importantly, these treatments generally are not known or not financially accessible to women who are low-income and uninsured.
