The woman entrepreneur is the center of our story. We know that when women succeed, everyone succeeds. Families prosper. Communities grow. We all win. Founded in 2014, Beam (formerly known as Women@Austin) was created after several of Austin’s most experienced female entrepreneurs and executives came together and decided they wanted to do something proactive to increase the ratio in women-led and founded Austin businesses with the goal to make Austin the most accessible, nurturing place for women-led businesses in the country. Whether it’s battling the funding gap (of the $100 billion in venture funding that goes to entrepreneurs in America, less than 3% goes to women founders) - or encouraging resilience, self-confidence, and conviction, Beam supports women entrepreneurs through a variety of resources. Beam builds a foundation of knowledge for women through ideas, expertise and resources, and assists their trajectory of business growth with access to effective programming. Our programming is varied and includes roundtables, workshops, and networking dinners with potential funders. The fundamental tenet of Beam is to create a sense of belonging, regardless of affluence, race or success level. Our networks are more brilliant through diversity and inclusivity. Beam empowers women to be remarkable catalysts and contributors to their families, communities and the broader economy. Beam is an initiative of Notley. The Notley team creates and supports ecosystems of knowledge, capital and collaboration to enable the purpose-driven people and organizations to scale impact and change the world.

Brobe is changing the way people recover from surgery by providing quality, functional products that give patients a more comfortable recovery time, independence, and peace of mind. The Brobe is a luxurious robe with a built-in attached bra designed for women throughout different stages in their life, like cancer treatment and surgery recovery. Our Recovery Brobe features interior pockets to hold post-operative fluid drains. The detachable Recovery Bra also has pockets for ice packs or a prosthetic breast. Its Velcro front-closure makes independent dressing easier and more comfortable. The robe’s three quarter length sleeves allow for easy IV access during treatment and the fabric is durable, yet luxurious for comfortable wear. It has become the FIRST bra + robe combination designed for breast cancer recovery, made to be worn before, during and after recovery. In late 2020, Brobe Kids was launched with a Superhero Robe for children battling cancer, chronic illness or recovering from surgery. The Elliott Superhero Robe is named after a four year old girl diagnosed with a Stage 4 Wilms tumor that had metastasized to her lungs shortly after her third birthday. Elliott battled cancer bravely and beat it just before her fourth birthday. The Superhero Robe comes with interior pockets that can be moved around within the robe to hold JP Drains, monitors, cords or other medical equipment. It also has snaps along the sleeves from the wrist to the collar bone to hopefully allow the child to leave the robe on during exams. Each Superhero Robe also comes with two superhero capes, two matching doctors caps and a superhero eye mask. Learn more at www.BrobeKids.com
