twig is a bioengineering company using AI to create sustainable ingredients that don’t cost the earth. We’re on a mission to drive a global transition away from unsustainably resourced ingredients to bio-fermented ingredients in a way that benefits everyone – people, producers, and the planet. We’re using AI to radically improve the speed and efficacy of lab-based bioengineering, creating affordable, scalable, and dependable ingredients that producers can use in the everyday items the world relies on – without compromise. We like to call this ‘bioengineering better’. A game-changing, AI-defined approach to bioengineering in which the tech drives the direction of the science. This means no gut instincts, preconceptions, or the pressure to meet short-term service contracts - which have plagued the bioengineering industry for decades - just rapid, incisive data analysis to signpost the best answers to some of the planet’s most pressing sustainability problems.

We are making real meat for cats and dogs! At BioCraft (formerly Because, Animals), we recognize the nutritional value of meat for pets. But traditional meat production comes with some devastating consequences, including climate change, animal cruelty and risks to public health. For those reasons, we are making cultured meat to replace traditional slaughtered-animal meat for pet food. We are not creating a meat alternative — we are creating meat that is produced in an alternative way!

We developed proprietary protein texturing technology that enables us to produce plant-based whole cuts. Our vision is to produce a variety of meat products and match and eventually outcompete animal-derived counterparts by taste, price, and convenience. We want to accelerate the transition of the meat industry into a more sustainable future - by 2030 we want to cut meat consumption in half.

Dairy causes 4% of global greenhouse gas emission. Plant-based alternatives, although gaining traction, dont appeal to many consumers, as they lack a creaminess for which the fat component is key. At Cultivated we want to fix this. We are developing an emulsion from yeast, which offers the creaminess needed for plant-based dairy, while enabling clean labels.

We are a values-aligned, rag-tag group of donors and volunteers from all different backgrounds and geographies, contributing what we can. Our goal is to keep Ukraine’s defenders and rescue workers alive, safe, and comfortable. In practice, this means we buy, find, or 3D print everything from thermal socks to anti-drone weaponry. We save lives every day. How do we know? Because the troops tell us, and they show us the evidence. Ukraine’s national allies are soft and slow in their support. Your contribution is what keeps Ukraine on the path to victory.
