The fashion industry has a problem with overproduction. This is not only translated into devastating environmental impact but also into huge financial losses. The reason is an outdated manufacturing industry, that relies on technology invented before the internet. The fashion manufacturing industry is now ripe for renewal, as old ways are not meeting the needs of today’s fashion brands and consumers. As a result, the industry is struggling and the number of manufacturers in Europe are decreasing. Rodinia Generation was founded by Trine Young, with one goal: Changing the fashion industry for the better. With a strong ambition to drive forward the transformation, from being one of the world’s most polluting industries to becoming a digital and sustainable one. Rodinia has been recognized by industry players, investors and public funding bodies such as Innovationsfonden and has received grants from Horizon2020 among others.

Empirical is a flavor company. We make free-form and uncategorized spirits, meaning experiments outside the traditional categories of the spirits industry. It is ok to want special and delicious things. Empirical is a platform to investigate flavor, traditions, technologies, and techniques from across the globe. It’s a springboard to re-examine why and how we produce things, launch dialogues and create a whole bunch of novel libations along the way.

Real estate and the urban environment have a profound impact on all of us. We spend 90% of our lives inside buildings. And by 2050 almost 70% of us will live in cities. The built environment enables life, community and culture. But at the same time, it fosters loneliness and health issues. It counts for almost 40% of global CO2 emissions. To overcome the challenges of population growth, climate change, growing inequality and social unrest, we need to move to a more conscious and responsible version of capitalism.
