Ideal Option is one of the nation’s largest providers of medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and behavioral health services for individuals with substance use disorder, including opioids, alcohol, methamphetamine, benzodiazepines, and more. Founded in 2012 by two emergency medicine physicians, today Ideal Option operates 65 outpatient clinics in 10 states. Ideal Option’s mission is to provide underserved populations with low-barrier access to evidence-based addiction treatment – saving lives, healing families, and helping communities. We currently have clinics in Alaska, Arkansas, Idaho, Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, and Washington. More than 35,000 individuals suffering from substance use disorder – a chronic, relapsing medical condition – have been treated by Ideal Option. Over the past 10 years, opioid misuse has become a public health epidemic, killing around 140 Americans every day. Medication-assisted treatment is widely regarded by the scientific community as the most effective approach for opioid use disorder and alcohol use disorder. Ideal Option’s providers work collaboratively with every patient to develop a treatment plan that is based on published research, best practices, and the unique needs of each patient.
