Housing All Australians is a private sector group using a commercial lens to help address Australia’s chronic shortage of low-income affordable housing. Bring your voice, networks, goods or services to help vulnerable Australians. Together, we can make a difference.
Housing All Australians (HAA) was established in 2019 as a ‘for purpose’ organisation, to facilitate a private sector voice, and re-position the discussion and action on social and affordable housing for those on low to very low incomes. Our commercial lens is like no other charity in this space.
We are a group of private sector individuals and corporates with a shared vision that it is in Australia’s long term economic interest to house all Australians, including those on low incomes. Unless we do, we will be leaving a significant burden for future generations, with disastrous economic and social consequences.
We are classified as a Public Benevolent Institution with full tax deductibility benefits.
Australia’s chronic shortage of affordable, social and public housing is set to create an intergenerational time bomb.

BUILDING CHANGE. CHANGING LIVES.
Today in Australia over 4,106 younger people with disability live in nursing homes, some of them because there is simply no alternative. Summer Housing is changing that.
Our vision is to ensure people with disability and complex care needs have the opportunity to live in high-quality housing that enables them to be part of their community.
We’ve partnered with top tier developers and builders to deliver over 60 apartments across Australia since 2017, with a pipeline of over 300 on track for completion by 2022.
Our mission is to expand the range and scale of housing options for people with disability, particularly younger people who live in residential aged care. People with disability should be able to live in a home built for their needs, close to amenities, and with choice over their own in-home support services.
All Summer Housing developments feature our 10+1 model: 10 apartments in a building of no less than 60 apartments, plus one on-site shared support apartment with staff on site 24-hours a day to provide support in an emergency.
Our apartments not only meet but exceed the criteria set out by the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) for Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA). We proudly participate in NDIA’s SDA Reference Group.
Summer Housing is a not-for-profit organisation funded through the NDIA and the generosity of investors who, like us, believe people with disability should have choice and control over WHERE and HOW they live.
