For over 31 years, DC Appleseed has focused on issues that touch nearly every aspect of public life in the District, particularly issues impacting historically marginalized people who live and work in the nation’s capital. Our projects revolve around at least one of our three foundational pillars: Racial Equity, Economic Mobility, and Democracy & DC Autonomy.

Education Forward DC is a nonprofit based in Washington, DC that works to advance quality and equity in public schools. Our mission is to accelerate the work of visionary education leaders to foster a city of high-quality, equitable public schools for every DC student and family.
